Bonita Lifestyle

The Bonita Business & Professional Association was informally founded in 1971 with 30 businesses. The Association is the proud sponsor of Bonitafest, which celebrated its 25th anniversary in 1997. This annual event lines Bonita Road with craft, game, and food booths, and is highlighted by a two hour parade with marching bands and hometown entries. The day ends with an old-fashioned family deep pit barbecue at the Optimist Center on Sweetwater Road.

The San Diego Community College District serves almost 100,000 students each semester through three two-year colleges and six continuing education centers. The three colleges - San Diego City, Mesa and Miramar - offer associate degrees and certificates in occupational programs that prepare students for entry-level jobs, and arts and sciences programs that transfer to four-year colleges and universities. Bonita Climate

Bonita  has the ultimate weather favored more than any other climate in the world.  The sun shines most of the year, although we experience June Gloom annually.  The summer months are mild, and August is usually the hottest month of the year.  Bonita experiences an average of 10 inches of rainfall annually.
